状语：就是表示时间、地点、方式、原因、结果、假设、比较的部分。

英语的状语的位置和汉语的状语的位置相反。汉语的状语放在前面，英语的状语放在后面。所以，在理翻译和理解时，应该先 翻译状语在翻译主谓宾或者动词。

在要表达一个英语意思时，我们要知道先讲主谓宾，然后再讲时间地点方式原因结果，这样的句子最少语法是正确的，这是我们能让别人看懂听懂我们的英语的第一步。

本文是一个英汉对照故事，我们尽量做到简单，但是尽量包含了英语的所有状语。

Angry Frogs. 怒蛙

We came back to my hometown【after many years 】英语的状语放在后面，跟汉语相反

【几年后】 我们回到家乡【汉语的状语放在前面】 。

We went to a river 【one morning in our car. 】

[把时间和方式放前面]【一天早上】 我们【乘车，方式】 到河边 。

The river was polluted 【seriously 】[方式[严重地]放到动词后面]。.

河流被严重地污染 [方式[严重地]放到动词前面]。

There was rubbish .【everywhere】 [地点放在句子后面]

到处都有垃圾 [地点放在句子前面]。

We could see waste .【on the water】 [地点放到动词后面]

我们【在水面上】看到废物垃圾 [地点放到动词前面]。

I was lucky to miss its another attack 【narrowly】 .

我很幸运，避过它的再次进攻 【十分勉强地】。

I turned back,【seeing its yellow teeth】 .

我回头，【并且看着它那黄色的牙齿】 。

It jumped high, 【almost to my face to bite my throat】 .

它跳起来，【几乎跳到我的脸来咬我的喉咙】。

My friend picked up a stick 【to hit it】 .

我朋友捡起一条棍子【来打它】 。

It moved【 back a little】 and stared at us

它【向后】 挪动一点并且盯着我们。

We knew it would attack us again 【if we didn’t leave】 .

我们知道【如果我们不走】 它会再次攻击我们的。

So we ran to our car 【quickly 】and entered it.

所以我们【快速地】 跑到我们的车并且进车子去。

We felt a bit safer【because we were in a shelter】 .

【因为我们在庇护处中】，我们感到安全一点了。

But we were 【terribly】 shocked the moment we saw something.

我们【一看见一些东西】 我们就被极大震惊了。

Thousands of huge frogs were coming to us 【full of confidence】.

成千上万巨大的青蛙正在【充满自信地】 向我们扑来

They gathered 【around our car】 like we were in a ant nest.

【Hardly had we woken up when】 they began to destroy everything. 、

I began to cry 【sadly】 and my friend comforted me 【in a low voice】.

My friend started the car【 finally 】 and it moved 【forward difficultly】.

The car almost fell【into the river several times】 .

We managed to get to the main road【though the frogs tried to stop us.】

Our guide was looking for us 【when we got to our hotel as slowly as a snail】.
