不要一看见cry就当是“哭”

一、cry的几种含义

1.叫喊，叫声，呼叫

例：The crow's cry bodes rain.

乌鸦啼预示要下雨。

With a cry, she rushed forward.

她大喊一声，向前冲去。

2.哭

例：A nurse patted me on the shoulder and said, ‘You have a good cry, dear.'（名词）

一位护士拍了拍我的肩膀说，“痛快地哭一场吧，宝贝儿。”

例：Linda cry all day and sniffle audibly around the corner.（动词）

琳达在拐角处哭了一天并轻声地吸鼻涕。

The child's mouth twitched as if she were about to cry.（动词）

小孩的嘴抽动着，好像要哭似的。

3.抗议；请求

例：以上二例句。

动词:叫，喊，大声说

例：Sometimes I heard wolves crying at night.

我有时在夜间听见狼嚎。

Peddlers cry their wares in the street.

小贩们在街上叫卖他们的货物。
